Epoch

Policymakers, researchers and journalists who need evidence about where AI is heading will find Epoch a useful place to start.

Epoch is a research institute that studies the trends and questions likely to shape the trajectory and governance of artificial intelligence.

Its focus is empirical: the team analyzes data on how the field is developing and uses it to make projections about what comes next.

That makes Epoch less a product you operate and more a body of research you read and cite.

The work is geared toward people who have to make decisions about AI and want those decisions grounded in facts rather than speculation.

If you are writing policy, planning a study or trying to sanity-check a claim about the pace of AI progress, an institute that tracks trends and publishes forecasts gives you something concrete to point to.

It sits in the AI research tool and data analysis space, and it covers both predictions and research papers.

Expect analysis and reading material rather than software with features to configure.
