Z.ai

Z.ai costs nothing to use, and it covers a lot of ground. Z.ai is a free AI assistant and chatbot that helps you with presentations, writing, and coding from a single chat window at chat.z.ai.

Under the surface it runs on large language models, so the same conversation can produce text, write code, or answer research questions.

For presentations, the AI Slides feature builds slide decks for you, which makes Z.ai a practical AI presentation generator if you dislike starting from a blank page.

On the coding side, you can ask for new code or have existing code explained step by step.

For writing, Z.ai can draft content and summarize longer text, so it works as an AI writing assistant for emails, reports, and notes.

Z.ai also lists support for Chinese AI use, which may matter if you work across Chinese and English.

It is also tagged as an AI search engine and general assistant, so you can use it for quick lookups too.

Because the pricing model is free, trying it against your usual chatbot costs only your time.
