Wizchat

Most character chat sites charge you and read your conversations. Wizchat is a free AI chatbot and character chat tool that runs locally, so your chats stay private on your own computer.

The requirements are short: a machine with a GPU and the latest version of Chrome.

That hardware demand is the catch, since a laptop without a decent GPU will struggle.

Wizchat has two uses.

One is a platform for chatting with your favorite AI characters, which suits roleplay and casual conversation with personas you pick.

The other is a Slack integration that adds GPT-3 to your workspace, so your team can ask questions and get answers without leaving the channel.

The pricing model is free, and the privacy pitch is the main reason to pick it over paid alternatives.

If you want private roleplay chats and already own the hardware, Wizchat is a simple option.

Teams on Slack get a second use out of the same tool, with GPT-3 available where they already talk.
