VMock

Career services offices at schools and universities are the natural home for VMock, an AI resume checker that gives instant feedback on resumes and profiles.

VMock is a career coaching platform that scores and critiques a document, looking at language, skills and presentation, so students get comments without waiting for an appointment with an advisor.

That is the main selling point: a career team can review far more resumes than staff could read by hand, and the review process becomes faster for everyone involved.

The platform goes beyond resumes.

VMock also has tools for LinkedIn profile optimization and for refining an elevator pitch, which makes it useful across the early stages of a job search, from drafting a first resume to preparing for networking events.

It is also positioned as a resume builder and job search aid with skill development.

The catch is the usual one with automated feedback.

The AI may miss nuance that a human coach would catch, and quality depends on the underlying algorithms.

Treat VMock as a first pass, and keep talking to people, since personal networking still matters.
