UI Faces

UI Faces is free to use, and that covers the main thing most designers come for: AI-generated avatar images to fill mockups.

The site is an AI avatar generator and AI person generator that produces high-resolution faces in a variety of styles.

The images are described as suitable for commercial use, though you should read the terms of OpenAI and Black Forest Labs, since the images come from their models.

One change matters if you used the site in the past.

UI Faces no longer provides aggregated photographs, so what you find now is AI-generated material only.

User personas are also available, but you pay for those.

The catch is about where the avatars go.

UI Faces is not recommended for public, live projects, so treat it as a source for prototypes, wireframes and design presentations rather than finished products.

For placeholder faces in a mockup, a free tool with high-resolution output is a practical fit.

For anything customer-facing, check licensing first.
