Tracardi is a free, open-source customer data platform. It collects behavioral data from several sources and stitches it into a single customer profile, then runs event and profile orchestration plus simple automation on top.

As a Customer Data Platform for automated engagement and personalization, it suits developers and marketing teams who want to host their own data layer.

The open-source version fits small companies with a limited number of customers.

The catches are real: a cap on events collected per second, so it is harder to scale, a single-tenant installation, limited automation and no event validation.

The commercial Enterprise edition is for companies with a lot of data.

It adds event validation, custom profile merging, parallel processing, extended automation, programmable data streams, collection through queues such as Kafka and RabbitMq, separate test and production environments, and customer activation.

It is still single tenant.

SaaS providers can ask about the commercial Multi-Tenant plan, which includes installation and integration support and a lower price per tenant installation.
