Super Teacher

Ask why the sky is blue, sound out a new word, or work through a handful of addition problems: a young child can do all of that by talking with Super Teacher.

This AI tutoring chatbot is built for kids aged 3 to 8 and teaches through conversation and plenty of visuals rather than worksheets.

Subjects include reading, math, art, poetry, science, social-emotional skills and geography, so a single subscription covers much of what a small child wants to know.

Super Teacher costs $10 per month, and tutoring is unlimited, so a curious kid can keep asking questions without running down a lesson allowance.

That is far cheaper than a human tutor, which fits the company's pitch of private tutoring for families who could not otherwise afford it.

The company says more than 15,000 families have subscribed and millions of questions have been answered.

That figure is self-reported, but it points to real use.

The age range is narrow, so older children will outgrow the app fast.

For parents of preschoolers and early primary kids, it is a simple way to add guided learning at home.
