Submagic

As a caption generator for short-form video, Submagic puts style ahead of plain transcription. Submagic is an AI subtitle generator that adds automatic subtitles, emojis and hashtags to clips for social media creators.

You upload a video, get captions in 48 languages, then restyle them with trendy templates, automatic emojis and highlighted keywords.

The makers say a finished caption job takes under two minutes.

Submagic also writes a description with hashtags, so the text that goes under the clip is covered along with the on-screen subtitles.

You can edit the subtitles after they are generated, which matters because automatic speech-to-text rarely gets every name and phrase right.

If you need a full video editor, Submagic is a finishing step rather than a replacement.

If your bottleneck is getting readable, eye-catching captions onto many short clips quickly, the template-driven approach fits that job well.
