StaticBlocks

You pay once for StaticBlocks and get lifetime updates, which is unusual for a website builder in a field full of monthly subscriptions.

StaticBlocks is a self-hosted static website builder that uses AI to generate page text and images, with a drag-and-drop editor so you do not need to write code.

Because you host it yourself, you keep full control of the site and its files.

The catch is setup.

StaticBlocks needs your own domain, PHP-supported hosting or a server, and a MySQL database before you can build anything.

For the full AI features you also have to supply Pixabay and OpenAI API keys, so image and text generation depend on those accounts and whatever usage costs come with them.

The builder includes SEO optimization and produces mobile-friendly pages.

It is limited to static websites, so it will not suit anything that needs dynamic features.

As an AI website builder, StaticBlocks makes the most sense if you are comfortable with basic hosting and want to own your site outright rather than rent a platform.
