SoBrief

Need the gist of a nonfiction book before you commit to reading it? SoBrief gives you summaries of 73,530 books, which you can read for free or listen to as audio.

The short descriptions are also offered as PDF and EPUB files.

SoBrief is an AI book summarizer and knowledge base, and the free plan lets you read summaries, save up to 10 bookmarks and see your last 10 books in history.

Listening to full summaries requires Pro.

Pro costs $9.99 a month, or $44.99 a year, which works out to about $3.75 a month.

There is also a $59.99 lifetime payment that covers all current and future Pro features, though it is labeled a limited time offer.

Pro removes the bookmark and history caps.

The free tier is small on bookmarks, so heavy users will hit the limit quickly.
