Smart PDFs

Free to use, Smart PDFs is an AI PDF summarizer that turns an uploaded document into a short, readable summary you can share.

You upload a PDF on the website and get the summary back without paying anything.

That is the whole workflow, which suits people who just want the gist of a long file and not another app to manage.

Smart PDFs is lightweight and open source, so you or anyone else can look at how it works.

It also generates a cover image for each summary, which gives the result a bit more polish when you pass it along to a colleague, a classmate or a reader.

The summaries come from large language models, so it makes sense to skim the original for anything you plan to quote or rely on.

For quick reading and sharing, the free access and the simple upload-and-summarize flow are the main draws.
