RoleplayGPT

As an AI roleplay chatbot, RoleplayGPT pairs character chat with story creation, which sets it apart from companion apps that stop at conversation.

RoleplayGPT is a chatbot and AI story generator that lets you pick from a large set of characters and play out scenes with them.

The AI responds dynamically, so a plot can shift as you steer it, which suits creative writing and open-ended storytelling.

The site has a free tier and premium options.

Premium features cost a one-time payment rather than a subscription, a point in its favor if recurring fees put you off.

Guest users can try the site without an account, but they get limited access to characters, and their chats are kept in the browser cache.

Clear the cache or switch browsers and those conversations may disappear.

Signing up is the safer route for a long-running story.

Think of RoleplayGPT as a place to test characters and plots before deciding whether to pay.
