Removebg

Removebg works in the browser and is also listed as an AI API, so you can strip backgrounds from images online without installing anything.

Removebg is an AI background remover that takes an image and returns it with the background taken out, priced by credits with one credit per image.

Signing up gives you

5 free credits, which is enough to test a handful of photos before you pay.

There are two ways to buy.

Monthly subscription plans start at $4.90 for 90 credits and renew automatically, with the top plan at $16.90 for 2999 credits, about 0.006 per image.

Pay as You Go packs are one-time payments with no later fees: 45 credits for $4.90, 149 for $6.90, 449 for $9.90, 899 for $13.90 and 1499 for $16.90.

The maths favors subscriptions on price per image.

The cheapest pay as you go pack works out to about 0.109 per image, while the $4.90 subscription is about 0.054.

If you only need a few cutouts now and then, the one-time packs avoid a recurring charge.

Heavy users will find the larger plans cheaper per image.
