Polymath

Point Polymath at a folder of songs on your hard drive, or a YouTube link, and you get back a library of samples sorted by tempo, key and song section.

Polymath is an open source AI song remixer and stem splitter that turns existing music into a searchable sample library for music production.

It separates each track into stems such as beats and bass, then quantizes them to one tempo and beat grid, for example 120bpm.

It also analyzes musical structure like verse and chorus, detects key, and reads other properties including timbre and loudness.

Audio can be converted to MIDI as well.

Because the stems share a tempo and grid, pieces from different songs line up when you layer them.

Producers and DJs are the obvious users, and ML audio developers can work with the analyzed output too.

The code lives on GitHub, so expect to set it up yourself rather than download a polished app.
