You wrote a prompt, and Pliny turned it into a small app that other people could open, use and remix.

That is how the service worked before it shut down, so it is no longer available.

Pliny was a chatbot and app-building platform with a lightweight interface for creating, sharing and remixing GPT-3 based apps, with no code involved in the basic flow.

Remixing was the useful part: you could take someone else's prompt app and adapt it instead of starting from a blank page.

The team closed Pliny to focus on Faraday.dev, an offline-first desktop app for chatting with AI Characters.

If you liked the idea of Pliny, Faraday.dev is where the same developers moved, though it is a different product with a different purpose: character chat on your own machine rather than shareable prompt apps.
