Permito

Permito is free to use, and it centers on one thing: practicing a US visa interview out loud against an AI consular officer.

Permito is a mock interview tool that runs voice-to-voice sessions so applicants can rehearse for F1, B1/B2 and H1B interviews before the real appointment.

The AI officer asks follow-up questions and the occasional trick question, which is closer to real pressure than reading a list of sample answers.

After a session, Permito flags potential red flags, such as signs of immigrant intent under Section 214(b) or contradictions between your answers and your documents, and gives detailed feedback right away.

That makes it useful for spotting weak points you might not notice on your own.

The site also offers other free tools: a DS-160 consistency checker, a question bank with over 100 entries, and a document checklist.

If you are preparing for a consular interview and want spoken practice instead of flashcards, this is a low-risk place to start.
