PaintPlanner

Planning to repaint a room and not sure how many cans to buy? PaintPlanner is a paint calculator app that estimates how much paint a room needs by scanning it with your phone camera and LiDAR sensor.

That means it only works on devices that have a LiDAR scanner, which is the main catch.

Point the device around the space and PaintPlanner works out the wall area, then automatically subtracts doors, windows and other openings so you are not paying for paint that will never touch a surface.

You can change the number of coats and the paint coverage per unit to match the product you plan to use, since labels differ from brand to brand.

Finished estimates can be saved, which helps if you are pricing several rooms or want to come back to a project later.

It is handy for homeowners and painters who want a measured number instead of a rough guess with a tape measure.

The tool sits between a room scanner and a simple calculator, and it keeps to that one job.
