Free for personal use, with no sign-up and no tracking, NativeMind is a browser extension that runs an AI assistant entirely on your own machine.

It is a local AI assistant for the browser that offers a page summarizer, chat, search and a translator, all processed on-device with no cloud involved.

Your data stays on your computer, and NativeMind keeps no sync and no logs.

The extension works through Ollama, which handles model management, so you need Ollama and a local model set up before NativeMind does anything.

That is the main catch.

Once it is running, you can pick from a wide range of open-weights models rather than being tied to one provider.

The project is fully open-source, so the code can be audited, and it is backed by a community.

Because NativeMind lives in the browser, it is useful for reading, researching and translating web pages, and less so for work outside the browser.

Enterprise options are on a waitlist and not yet available.

If privacy is your main reason for using AI tools, the local approach is the draw.
