MarkDX

As Markdown editors go, MarkDX is the open source one with AI built into the writing flow. MarkDX is an AI Markdown editor that helps you write documents faster and keeps them within Markdown standards.

It works with both Markdown and MDX files, so it fits technical docs, READMEs and pages that mix prose with components.

The feature list includes a live preview, AI suggestions as you type, code generation, translation and real-time collaboration.

Proofreading and standards checks are the main draw.

Rather than fixing formatting by hand, you let the AI point out where a document drifts from convention.

Because MarkDX is open source, you can read the code and run the editor on your own terms.

That matters if you care about where your documents go.

The categories it sits in, from AI writing assistant to AI translate and code assistant, show how many jobs it takes on.

Expect an editor first, with the AI tools built around it.
