LexiGym

LexiGym is free to use, and every training in the app is open without a subscription. That makes it an easy vocabulary trainer to try on an iPhone or iPad.

LexiGym is a language learning app that lets you build personalized dictionaries and practice words in several languages.

The dictionaries connect to Google Sheets, so you can keep your word lists in a spreadsheet you already know how to edit and have them show up in the app.

Offline learning means you can run through your vocabulary without a connection, which suits commutes and flights.

There is also a Lexigym Dictionary GPT, built as a Custom ChatGPT, for looking up words and getting help with meanings.

The focus is vocabulary drilling rather than full lessons, so LexiGym fits best as a companion to a course or to reading in your target language.

The iOS focus is the main catch if you use other devices.

If you like managing your own word lists, the spreadsheet approach is the main draw.
