Laitter

Free to start, Laitter costs $9.9 a month for the Plus plan, or $6.9 a month on annual billing, which saves 30%.

Laitter is a chatbot and AI character platform where you befriend AI characters and get personalized content from them, including emails and stories, in a companion style that some people will know as an AI girlfriend app.

The free Basic plan gives you a personality AI, one email per day, the ability to reply to the AI, three characters you can create and one character you can befriend.

That befriend limit is tight, so you will probably hit it fast if you like trying different personalities.

Plus raises the limits to 10 created characters and 10 befriended characters, and adds a smarter AI model.

The one email per day stays the same on every plan, so paying gets you more characters and better replies, not more messages.

Laitter suits you if you like the idea of a character writing to you each day and you want to write back.

It is a weaker fit if you want fast, open-ended chat all day long.
