Iris

As a Mac AI assistant, Iris differs from most ChatGPT clients by being a native macOS app instead of a browser tab.

Iris is an AI copilot that lets you chat with ChatGPT from any window, so a quick question does not mean switching apps.

You can snap an image of whatever is on your screen and ask Iris to describe or discuss it.

The window can be pushed to either side of the screen to stay out of your way while you work.

Keyboard shortcuts and natural gestures cover most actions, and you can interject while a response is still coming in.

Markdown and code display with syntax highlighting are supported, which is handy if you paste snippets often.

Iris runs on the latest models and has no rate limits.

It is a Mac-only tool, so Windows and browser-first users will look elsewhere.
