iBrief

A bookmarklet is how you use iBrief: add it to your browser, open an article, click, and get a short summary without leaving the page. iBrief is a free AI article summarizer that condenses web articles into concise overviews and makes them easy to share.

It is meant for skimming, so you can decide quickly whether a piece deserves a full read.

The catch is the usual one for any AI summarizer.

Quality depends on how accurate the underlying AI is, and summaries can carry bias.

You also get less detail than the original article, so anything you plan to quote, cite or act on should be checked against the full text.

As a free productivity tool for getting through a reading list, though, iBrief costs nothing to try.
