Herodot

As an AI travel guide, Herodot works from the map: you pick a place, a landmark or almost any object you find there, and it tells you a story about it.

Herodot is built around storytelling rather than route planning, so the focus is on what you are looking at, not on how to get there.

The stories cover history, architecture, traditions and similar topics.

That makes it a good fit for casual sightseeing, where you want some background on a building, a square or a monument without booking a tour or reading a guidebook beforehand.

You can also pass the knowledge on, since the idea is that you end up able to explain what you saw to friends and family.

The listing sits under AI assistants, travel and trip planning, and voice generation, which suggests the stories can be delivered as spoken narration as well as text.

Herodot suits curious travelers who like context with their sightseeing.

If you mainly want itineraries, bookings or logistics, you will probably want a different kind of planner alongside it.
