Golden Record

Golden Record turns family conversations into audio keepsakes. It is a story preservation tool for recording and sharing the memories of parents, grandparents and other loved ones, available on mobile devices and on the web.

AI-generated prompts suggest questions to ask, so you are not left staring at a blank page when the recording starts.

That makes it handy as an interview assistant for relatives who do not volunteer much on their own.

Recordings can be shared, and more than one person can collaborate on them.

Joint access works through a shared email address, which is a security risk worth thinking about before you use it.

You can also order a physical keepsake such as a vinyl record, which makes Golden Record a gift idea as well as an archive.

Plan for waiting, because vinyl pressing lead times can be long.

The free plan has limited features, so expect to hit its edges if you record a lot.
