FormulAI

Turning a plain-language request into a working spreadsheet formula is what FormulAI does. FormulAI is an AI Excel formula generator that builds formulas for Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets and explains each one step by step.

You describe the result you want, get the formula back, and read through the logic so you can see why it works.

That explanation is the most useful part if you inherit spreadsheets from someone else and need to make sense of them.

Formula building works in English, French and Spanish.

A free plan covers occasional use, but it limits requests and the data simulation and query capabilities.

Some features, including the Workbook Analyzer, the Data Simulator and the Excel integration, sit behind a paid plan, so check what you need before relying on the free tier.

There is also a catch: leaning on an AI assistant for every formula can wear down your own habit of writing them by hand.
