FormulaGenerator

Need an Excel formula, a VBA macro, a regex pattern or a SQL query but can't remember the syntax? FormulaGenerator is an AI formula generator and code toolkit that writes all four from a plain description of what you want.

It also explains what the generated code does and helps debug formulas that return errors, which is handy when you are trying to learn rather than just paste and move on.

A Google Sheets add-on brings the same help into your spreadsheet, so you do not have to switch tabs to a separate chat window.

The toolkit is free to use.

The catch is the usual one with AI output.

Results depend on how accurate the model is, so expect to adjust some formulas by hand, and very complex or niche cases may need more work than a quick prompt.

Check anything that touches important data before you rely on it.

There is also a fine-tuning service for building custom AI apps, but you have to contact the team for it, so costs there are likely separate from the free toolkit.
