Flakes

On a Mac running macOS 14 or later, Flakes is an AI-native, keyboard-first browser built for productivity users and thinkers who care more about focus than friction.

It is an AI browser that you can drive almost entirely without a mouse, which is the main reason to look at it.

Flakes is written in SwiftUI and WebKit, so it runs natively and keeps its memory footprint small.

Navigation follows Vim-style keyboard commands, and a universal Command Palette gives you one place to trigger actions.

Focus Mode strips the window down when you want to concentrate, and built-in ad blocking removes a common source of distraction without extra extensions.

The AI side is optional.

Drift AI answers questions using the context of the tabs you have open and also handles real-time requests.

If you prefer a plain browser, you can leave it alone and still get the keyboard controls and the lightweight engine.

Flakes only runs on macOS, so Windows and Linux users are out.

Vim-style navigation also takes some learning if you have never used it.
