Filmbase

As an AI video editor goes, Filmbase is deliberately small: it cuts silences and filler words out of recordings and leaves the rest of the edit to you.

Filmbase is an AI video editing and transcription tool that detects dead air and the ums in speech-heavy footage and removes them automatically, so the tedious first pass of trimming is finished before you open your timeline.

What sets Filmbase apart is where it sits in your workflow.

It does not try to replace the editor you already use.

After processing, you export the video to your preferred video editor and carry on with pacing, graphics and color there.

That makes it a cleanup step rather than a full editing suite.

Talking-head videos, tutorials and interviews are the obvious fit, since filler words and pauses pile up in that kind of footage.

The feature set is narrow, so judging it is simple: you either want that rough cut done for you, or you do not.
