FaceIndex

A list of web pages where the face in your photo shows up is what FaceIndex gives you back. FaceIndex is an AI face recognition search engine that identifies people online from a single uploaded photo.

It runs machine learning face matching across public images on the web, so results come from the face itself and not from a filename or caption.

Searches cover social media and dating sites.

People use FaceIndex to check whether someone they met online is who they claim to be, or to look into possible scammers and sex offenders.

It also gives access to videos and jail mugshots linked to a face, which goes further than a standard reverse image search.

That reach is the catch.

Searching for a stranger by face raises real privacy questions, and a match can point to the wrong person.

Treat any FaceIndex result as a lead to verify, not proof.

Ask yourself whether you have a good reason to search before you upload someone's photo.
