Epigram

Bite-sized summaries are the core of Epigram, an open-source AI news app that condenses stories from sources around the world into short reads.

Epigram is an AI article summarizer and news tool for people who want to keep up with current events without spending an hour on it.

You pick your interests, and the feed is personalized to match.

Beyond the short summaries, Epigram offers real-time updates and in-depth analysis, so you can stop at the gist or go further on a story that matters to you.

The stated goal is balanced, trustworthy reporting drawn from trusted outlets, which is a sensible aim for any news product but something you will want to judge for yourself after a few days of reading.

Because the project is open source, you can look at how it is built rather than taking its claims on faith.

That is a real point in its favor for a news app that relies on AI to decide what to condense and what to leave out.
