Doclific is an open-source internal documentation tool that exists to stop documentation drift, the slow gap between what the docs say and what the code does.

Because everything lives in the repo, technical documents get versioned and reviewed like any other change.

The editor handles headings, lists and code blocks.

Beyond text, Doclific has ERD diagramming and an architecture whiteboard, so database schemas and system sketches sit in the same place as the prose.

Built-in AI support, currently Google Gemini, can generate documentation for you to edit.

Doclific runs locally and needs no external services, which keeps it quick and keeps your docs on your own machine.

CI integration to keep documentation in sync with the codebase is planned, not yet available, so for now staying current is still on you.
