Confab

Conversation prompts are what Confab produces, sorted into different categories so you can pick one that fits the moment.

Confab is a conversation starter tool that gives you something to talk about, whatever the situation, whether that is a first date, a quiet dinner or a stalled group chat.

The prompts are curated by hand and with help from GPT-3, so the list is not purely machine output.

A person has looked over the material, which matters for a tool like this, because generated small talk can drift into the bland or the odd.

You open Confab, choose a category, and get a prompt you can use right away.

There is no writing to do and nothing to configure.

That makes it a different kind of AI writing tool from the ones that draft emails or essays for you.

Confab does not write your messages.

It hands you the opening question and leaves the conversation itself to you, which is probably how most people would want it.
