ComfyUI is free and open source, so you can run it yourself without paying for a licence. It is a node-based visual AI application and engine for generative AI that produces video, images, 3D and audio from one canvas.

Instead of filling in a prompt box, you connect nodes into a workflow, with room to branch, remix and adjust things as you go.

That gives you more control than a simple generator, though a graph of nodes takes longer to learn than a text field.

Workflows are reusable.

Exported files carry metadata, so ComfyUI can rebuild the setup that made a given result, which helps when you want to repeat or share a process.
