ChatLLM Pro is a browser extension and AI chatbot that runs a language model locally, so you can ask questions about a page, summarize it, or generate text without any data going to third-party services.
Once the model is on your machine it also works without an internet connection.
That makes it a private alternative to ChatGPT and Co-Pilot, including for coding questions and writing help.
The catch is hardware.
You need Chrome 114 or newer with WebGPU and at least 4GB of VRAM, so it is limited to fairly modern PCs.
The model must also be downloaded the first time you use ChatLLM Pro, which takes a while before you can start.
