Canopy

Across a child's phone and other devices, Canopy filters explicit content in real time using AI. Canopy is a parental control app that blocks explicit images and websites and lets parents keep an eye on online activity, with one setup covering more than one device.

It also has features meant to prevent sexting and encourage healthier digital habits, which sets it apart from a plain content blocker.

The pricing is a free trial, then a subscription is required, so plan on paying if you keep it.

Phone and email support come with the service.

The app is made for non-technical parents and is meant to be simple to manage.

One catch: the filtering relies on AI, and AI detection is not perfect.

Canopy works best as one layer of supervision next to real conversations with your kids, not a replacement for them.

Cancellation has to be done inside the app or through the app store, not by contacting the company.
