Stuck on a chemistry problem set at 11 p.m.? You can look up the textbook solution for it on bartleby, or post the question and wait for an expert to answer.

Bartleby is an online homework help service that combines a large library of textbook solutions, expert Q&A, tutoring and writing tools in a single place.

Study help is available around the clock, and a mobile app is available if you would rather work from your phone.

The writing side covers grammar checking, paraphrasing and plagiarism checks, so you can tidy an essay draft before you hand it in.

Speed depends on the subject and how hard the question is.

Paid subscribers see a median response time of 34 minutes, and it can run longer for promotional offers and new subjects.

One catch to know about: questions you submit get published on bartleby.com, so avoid putting anything personal in them.

Bartleby suits students who want solutions and writing help from one account.
