Askmeety

On an Apple Silicon Mac, Askmeety does its work locally, so meeting audio never goes to a cloud server.

Askmeety is an AI meeting assistant and note taker that records system audio, transcribes it, writes a narrative summary and pulls out action items.

No bot joins your call, which matters if clients or colleagues dislike seeing a recorder in the participant list.

Two features set Askmeety apart from the usual transcription tool.

VisualWalk captures key frames from a meeting, so you can see what was on screen as well as read what was said.

Meety is an assistant you can chat with to search your whole meeting history, and that also runs offline.

The catch is the platform.

Askmeety is built for Apple Silicon Macs, so Windows users and Intel Mac owners are out.

If privacy is the main reason you avoid cloud note takers, the trade is reasonable.
