Ask Youtube

As an AI video summarizer and chatbot, Ask Youtube lets you put questions to a YouTube video and get answers in natural language instead of scrubbing through the timeline.

It pulls out the key information, gives summaries and insights, and points you to the moments that matter.

That also saves you from digging through comments to find out whether a video is worth your time.

The interface looks familiar, so there is little to learn before you start.

The catch is accuracy.

Ask Youtube relies on AI to produce its summaries and insights, so a result can miss nuance or get a detail wrong.

It also cannot match what you get from watching the full video, particularly for tutorials, demos or anything where visuals and tone carry the point.

See it as a fast way to decide what to watch, or to check a fact, rather than a replacement for viewing.
