You point Agent FM at a running AI coding agent, and it reads along in the background and narrates what the agent is doing out loud.
Agent FM is a free, open-source macOS app that gives live audio narration to AI coding agents, so you can step away from the screen and still follow a long task.
It watches passively, so the agent itself does not run any slower.
The app is local.
There is no cloud proxy and no telemetry, and your provider keys are stored on your device and go straight to the provider.
That is a sensible setup if you care about where your code ends up.
Agent FM only runs on Mac, and you need your own LLM API key from Gemini or OpenAI, which you pay for yourself.
Support covers Claude Code and Codex for now.
Cursor is on the roadmap but not available.
If you run background coding agents on a Mac and want to listen instead of watch, this fits.
