AcademicGPT

Paste in a passage from your paper and AcademicGPT will give you written critique and feedback on it.

That is the most concrete thing this AI writing assistant does for academic work, and it all happens in a chat window where you type a question and read the reply.

AcademicGPT also helps with drafting and phrasing, and it can explain a difficult concept in plainer terms than the source used.

The chat format means there is no editor to learn and no project to set up before you get an answer.

The page needs JavaScript enabled, so a script blocker will get in your way.

A sensible use is to ask for a critique of a section before it goes to a supervisor, or to ask for a second explanation when a reading does not make sense.

Think of AcademicGPT as a second reader and tutor, not a stand-in for your own argument.

Check any claims or references it gives you yourself, because a chat assistant can get them wrong.
